Position Announcement: SALES AND MARKETING COORDINATOR Facility Name : SMG/Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation, Cleveland, OH POSITION: DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO: FLSA STATUS: Sales and Marketing Coordinator Sales and Marketing Director of Sales and Marketing Salaried Exempt SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Sales and Marketing Coordinator at the Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation. This position provides support to the Sales and Marketing Staff of the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and the Global Center for Health Innovation as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Works closely with other departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Sales Support Duties Acts as the first point of contact with all sales clients, respond to all incoming emails and phone calls Coordinates and books travel arrangements and event registrations for department staff Produces and issues departmental reports for the Director of Sales and Marketing Assists in developing and tracking annual sales budget Prepares expense reports for sales managers and the Director of Sales and Marketing Prepares and sends outlook appointments for sales team Books any necessary meeting rooms and coordinates set-up with other departments Works with Director of Sales and Marketing as a “lead catcher” and creates new accounts and contacts in company’s database (EBMS) Assists with researching sales leads Works closely with sales team by capturing all RFP’s, creates opportunities, accounts, contacts, audits database for affiliations with industry associations, data integrity, block space based on the RFP requirements and any other EBMS assistance the sales team may need Assists sales team with proposals, proof reading, merging of documents into single pdf, uploading into various areas Assists with creating floor plans using company software (Meeting Matrix) Works with sales team to complete the email introduction of the Event Manager to client Assist sales team with tours for prospective clients Qualifies website leads as requested Books and manages smaller meetings; Hilton overflow meeting rooms, Global Center Conference Rooms, Ancillary meetings and Internal meetings Sales and Marketing Coordination Duties Responsible for maintaining client information and event descriptions for HCCC Calendar of Events through EBMS Assists in conducting industry research by capturing event information (current cities, floor plans, schedule of events, etc.) Assists marketing manager on preparing marketing-related materials for clients Works with sales team and marketing manager on the coordination of invitations, appointments and follow up when attending industry events and tradeshows Assists with holiday gift selection and preparation for top clients Assist sales and marketing team with building and maintaining library lists for various industries and upload into EBMS Works with marketing manager to develop ongoing email blasts Ensures contact accuracy for receipt of post event e-survey Orders and maintains sales and marketing collateral for department Assists in providing back-up to the receptionist during lunch, absence and vacation breaks Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in the hospitality field or related field preferred Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to foster strong relationships with clients/customers by understanding their expectations and emphasizing high qualities. Ability to relate well with colleagues at every level. Judgement and Decisiveness: has the ability, skill and vision to analyze issues and use sound judgement while making balanced decisions. Strong aptitude in critical thinking, problem solving skills and seeks innovative solutions High level computer, digital media and presentation skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multi projects simultaneously to completion Performs with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and effectiveness Must be able to work independently and as a part of team with high enthusiasm and creativity Result Oriented: Sets goals in alignment with company priorities, organizes work to achieve goals, identifies and solves problems, achieves targeted results, accepts responsibility for own actions. Explores new ideas, encourages creativity, and adapts well to change This is a salaried position. The salary range for this position is low $40’s with a benefit package.
