Summary
Gannett Digital Marketing Services (DMS), a division of Gannett, a media and marketing solutions
company, is seeking a Market Researcher to collect business information and identify the decision
makers of prospects, or leads, using website/internet research. The Market Researcher will work closely
with multiple sales channels to understand their needs and gain knowledge of various industries to
ensure accurate sourcing of qualified prospects.
Job Description
Responsible for the research, distribution and qualifying of leads to multiple sales channels.
Experience:



1-3 years experience in an individual contributor role related to analyzing data, research,
customer service, and/or administrative work
Proficient in client relationship management (CRM) and data collection software
Experience with reporting and process creation preferred
Responsibilities






Collect business information and identify decision makers of prospects through web-based
research
Qualify prospects and distribute through multiple sales channels
Contact prospects as necessary through phone or email to ensure quality
Gain a proper understanding of each sales channel’s needs to properly satisfy their lead
generation requests
Work with the team manager to create new processes and regularly pull reports of activity
Stay abreast of industry news, competition and consumer trends
Requirements







Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-oriented startup environment
Strong PC and web based application user proficiency
Flexible, eager to learn and work both independently and as part of a team
Strong researcher with excellent proofreading and grammatical skills
Must have ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
Must have ability to work well under time constraints
4 year Bachelor’s degree completed (or in current pursuit of obtaining a degree)
