Sociology Vocabulary #1 1. Sociology – Social Science that studies human society and social behavior. 2. Sociological Perspective A viewing of the behavior of groups in a systematic way 3. Social Interaction How people relate to one another and influence other’s behavior 4. Sociological Imagination Ability to see the connection between the larger world and our personal lives 5. Social Studies The part of the curriculum concerned with the study of social relationships and the functioning of society. Usually made up of courses in history, government, economics, sociology, geography, psychology, and anthropology 6. Social Science A branch of science that deals with the institutions and functioning of human society and with the interpersonal relationships of individuals as members of society, such as economics or political science . 7. Government A course that studies the offices, agencies, functions, laws, rights, etc. of political authority
