Ancient Rome Timeline Activity
Since the beginning of the Republic, Rome seemed to constantly be in constant war with
their enemies. Whether it be because Rome was expanding, or Rome was defending it’s
borders, Romans were seemingly always at war. This timeline and the additional
questions will help you better understand the warfare that Romans lived with.
Your Timeline should begin in 509 BCE and continue through to 476 CE, when the
Roman Empire is said to have ended. Your timeline needs to include at least 15 specific
battles including who fought, who won and the impacts of the battle. This timeline
must also include major leaders in Roman history during this era, and their impacts on
the Roman Empire. Below is a list of all of the leaders that will be included on the
timeline. Also, this timeline should have at least 15 visuals. They can be cut out of a
magazine, or printed out from the internet.
