Job Description Job Title: Marketing Communications Manager Reports To: Senior Manager Marketing Communications SCP 29 - 36: £25,239 - £30,610 Job Purpose: Develop and deliver a coordinated marketing and communications plan to generate customers for the members of the Glasgow Restaurant Association, with key messages focussing on value for money, quality and differentiation. Key Responsibilities: Manage the development and delivery of the GRA marketing strategy and implementation plan including the development of a fully costed plan to update GRA marketing collateral, image, video library and campaigns, aligning GRA campaigns to destination marketing activity Lead ongoing creative development and generate new ideas and initiatives Manage marketing campaigns to maximise dining opportunities and generate additional business for GRA members Optimise the best marketing and communications support available to GRA members and assist restaurants to take up opportunities that are presented by the visitor economy, leisure and business tourism. Build positive and productive relationships within GCMB, city partners and partner organisations Represent GRA and GCMB at meetings and industry events Coordinate and schedule Dinearound campaigns and competitions and create news releases, case studies and evaluation reports Develop and implement meaningful information which assists in evaluating the success of campaigns and report through agreed timescales to GRA and GCMB Deliver identified marketing activity with conference clients and event organisers within Glasgow and drive follow on digital strategy Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters, writing and proofreading copy and liaising with designers and printers Build the GRA’s profile and strengthen its reputation with members and the wider community Identify opportunities to utilise the “People Make Glasgow” brand to represent Glasgow’s food and drink product offering Liaise with GCMB Consumer PR on the coordination of bespoke itineraries and press packs for media visits Keep up to date with industry trends, identifying best practice and making recommendations to improve GRA marketing and communication strategies and plans Support the principles and lead on the delivery of GCMB’s Cultural Wheel.
