Introduction
• Brain is divided into four main parts
– Brainstem: controls breathing, heartbeat rates
and reactions to auditory and visual stimuli
– Diencephalon: controls homeostasis
– Cerebrum: controls intellectual processes and
emotions
– Cerebellum: maintains body posture and
balance
