GENERAL-Igneous rocks
• Formed by cooling of hot molten magma.
• Two types extrusive and intrusive.
• Below the earth surface-intrusive and deposition of lava flow on
top surface-extrusive.
• Forms- (a) Concordant (b) Discordant
• If the body of rock runs parallel to bedding plane – Concordant
• If the body of rock cut across the bedding plane- Discordant
