Sequence
• A sequence is a list of numbers in
a certain order.
• Each number is called a term of the
sequence.
1, 3, 5, 7, 9, …
2, 6, 10, 14, 18, …
1, 3, 9, 27, 81, …
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, …
Arithmetic Sequence
• An arithmetic sequences is a
sequence in which the difference
between any two consecutive terms
is the same.
3, 5, 7, 9, 11, …
12, 7, 2, -3, -8, …
• The difference is called the
common difference.
Write the next three terms of each
sequence. Then state whether each
