Marketing Coordinator
Position Description:
Coordinates and implements all marketing communications projects with responsibilities that include
public relations, special events management, advertising, and creating brand awareness. Define and
implement a strategy to drive awareness and nurture new business using a combination of web, social
media, and standard marketing tools. The person that fills this position will report directly to the Sales
Manager.
Essential Job Functions
1. Work closely with the CEO and Sales Manager to create and implement marketing plans.
2. Participate in trade shows, Chamber meetings, and other networking events.
3. Formulate a marketing plan and once approved communicate the marketing goals to the BCTI
staff.
4. Organize and coordinate all public relations’ events.
5. Be the contact for all advertising, promotions, and public relations.
6. Create brand awareness by using a variety of marketing venues - Web, Facebook, LindedIn,
Twitter, Email-based, etc.
7. In advertising on the Internet, utilize Google Addwords, ConstantContact email service, and
search engine optimization.
8. Work with customers to create case studies to print, post on Web, video, and email.
9. Write all marketing and advertising materials including yellow page ads, brochures, text,
reports, emails used for marketing the company, flyer/handouts, folders, press releases, Partner
Locator text with BCTI vendors, info about BCTI services to go in all BCTI invoices, handouts
about BCTI technical services to be handed out in training classes, articles about BCTI, etc.
10. Create Visio documents for call flows for VoIP projects and network diagrams for pre-sales and
post-sales.
11. Monitor all marketing materials to ensure compliance with the “BCTI Look”
 Work templates for letterhead, Assessment documents, project management
documents, digital signage, etc.
 PowerPoint templates.
 Invoice template.
 Employee badges.
 Business cards.
 Car wraps.
 Brochures.
 Folders.
 ConnectWise portal look and feel.
12. Build and mine BCTI contact database – Customers, prospects, purchase lists to mine, etc.
13. Conduct surveys to obtain valuable market data.
14. Implement marketing projects, events, and plans in accordance with agreed on timelines and
deadlines - BCTI events every other month, Chamber events, etc.
15. Prepare status reports on marketing efforts as requested.
16. Speak at different clubs and organizations and on radio and TV.
17. Work with BCTI’s major vendors to obtain marketing funds.

Marketing and lead generation campaigns (HP, Cisco, VMware, etc.
Event funding.
Funding for advertising, marketing materials (car wraps, trade show displays, folder,
etc.).
 Promos.
18. Participate in marketing meetings with the CEO, Sales Manager, and others as needed.
19. Follow all company and department policies, procedures, and guidelines.
20. Other duties as needed.

Excellent oral and written communication skills including copy writing and presenting.
Creative and innovative methods of marketing.
Proven above average computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Strong public relations skills.
Knowledge of marketing automation principles and strategies.
Ability to work quickly and independently.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize across projects.
Knowledge of SEO principles.
Skilled in Internet research in support of marketing topics.
Experience with automated email programs such as ConstantContact, Email Chip, !Contact, etc.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop or similar applications.
Honest and dependable.
Education and Experience
4 yr. college degree in marketing or equivalent work experience. 2 yrs. or more experience in marketing
through social media venues.
