FIDDLELEAF FIG
FICUS LYRATA
The large leaves are shaped
like a Fiddle
The Fiddleleaf Fig is a easy plant to
grow as a houseplant. It is a native of Africa.
It likes alot of light but does not like direct south sun.
This fig grows well with morning (east) or filtered
sun.
Keep the fiddleleaf slightly moist. If it gets too dry the
sides of the leaves turn brown and they start to fall of
from the bottom.
It likes temps in the 70’s the best with night temps. no
lower than 55*.
This plant can grow at least 8ft. tall so you’ll need to
prune it to keep it in shape.
Repot with a good houseplant potting mix and add
worm casting to the soil to give it a natural fertilizer
boost.
