JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Marketing Assistant DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Programming RESPONSIBLE TO: Deputy Head of Marketing Job Description - General The Marketing Assistant is responsible for helping to market all events and services provided by The Anvil Trust to a wide and varied range of users. Job Description - Aims and Objectives To assist the Deputy Head of Marketing and other marketing and box office staff to carry out their duties Undertake any other duties as are reasonable and appropriate to this job description. Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities 1. Direct mail Researching and writing appropriate and effective direct mail letters Building appropriate target lists using the box office system Mailing fulfilment within allocated budgets Maintaining accurate information on all mailing lists held on the ticketing system. Responsibility for the mailing and franking machines 2. Print The Marketing Assistant is responsible for: Incoming print quantities and overprinting Maintaining print displays Front of House Chasing for delivery as necessary Local print distribution as required Producing and distributing alternative format brochures (large print etc.) Keeping records of all print and archives as directed Producing internal posters, signs, show adverts and FOH notices as directed 3. Digital marketing The Marketing Assistant is responsible for: Creating and sending effective email communications as required Updating Anvil Arts website and social media platforms Keeping Anvil Arts information up to date on external web sites 4. Press and PR The Marketing Assistant is responsible for: 5. Helping with the organisation and running of photo calls and other events Cuttings, online reviews and media coverage and photo archives General duties The Marketing Assistant is responsible for: Assisting with the archiving of performance information Assisting with research projects and collating information and statistics General The Marketing Assistant will: Participate in training as required Keep the marketing office, post and print rooms tidy Budgets The Marketing Assistant is responsible for: Being aware of expenditure budgets and working within them Keeping accurate and timely records of all expenditure and contra agreements Adhering to financial procedures at all times RELATIONSHIPS The Marketing Assistant is expected to: maintain good relationships with, and provide excellence in service to: a) Patrons, sponsors and board members b) Artists, companies and all other individuals and organisations with whom Anvil Arts seeks to work. promote and maintain good working relationships throughout the organisation, recognising the specific working practices of other departments.
