Applied Marketing (offered by the Department of Marketing and Retail Management) 1 Syllabus FOURTH LEVEL TIB4M1R Applied Marketing IV: International Marketing: (Theory) (Examination: 1 x 3 hour paper) Syllabus: This subject consists of three parts: a) The international environment – an introduction to international marketing management, international marketing theory, the external international environment and international marketing research; b) The international marketing mix - product, price, distribution and promotion; c) International strategy - entry into foreign markets, planning and organizing, coordinating and control. TIB4M2R Applied Marketing IV: International Marketing (Project) (Examination: No examination - project to be submitted during the examination) Syllabus: In this module the learner will be evaluated on the practical application of knowledge within the International Marketing environment by means of a project/research report or a combination of the two. TKB4M1H Applied Marketing IV: Retail Marketing: (Theory) (Examination: 1 x 3 hour paper) Syllabus: The nature of retail marketing, careers in retail marketing, interpersonal skills and the development of retail marketing personnel, the development of a retail marketing plan, retail selling, marketing communication, merchandise planning and management, planning and organization of the enterprise.
