JOB DESCRIPTION: Marketing Co-Ordinator – Summer Season

The job spans a 7 month period between March and September 2016. Over this period
your main areas of responsibility will be to:
● Plan and implement a marketing strategy for the Summer Season ensuring that
the audience development aims and sales targets are met.
● Create and distribute all marketing materials relating to the Summer Season
● Update related content on all digital platforms and social media
● Manage the marketing budget in collaboration with the Producer and General
Manager.
You will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance.
Time structure
An average of 1.5-2 days/week depending on need. Exact days/week to be agreed with
the Artistic Director and General Manager.
The Productions:
Much Ado About Nothing – 22nd June – 22nd July
Treasure Island - 27th July – 28th August
Services to be Supplied:
All appropriate services necessary to achieving the above objective, and in particular:

To develop and manage efficient and effective distribution for all print.
To develop strategies and actions to increase sales including cross-selling,
group sales and online booking.
To work with the PR Representative to manage the Summer Season’s press,
media and public profiles.
To maintain mailing lists for local organisations, schools, colleges and other
strategically important organisations.
To create content for the monthly newsletter.
To ensure that Box Office volunteers are fully informed of marketing strategies.
To provide regular marketing updates and sales reports to the Artistic Director
and General Manager.
To organise Rehearsal and Production Shots and all Photo calls.
To organise the creation and distribution of a trailer

To manage the marketing budget in liaison with the General Manager
and Producer.
In liaison with the Producer and Fundraising team to collate information
for funding reports including audience data and a final marketing and
sales report.
To contribute to ensuring an adequate standard of care and support for Iris
Theatre’s audiences and artists.
To attend all Management meetings with the Artistic Director, Producer and
General Manager updating on areas of responsibility.
Any other tasks as reasonably required to fulfil to role.
You will be committed to working for Iris Theatre, with your time divided as necessary
to fulfil your duties throughout the 7 months to ensure the successful delivery of the
Marketing Strategy for the Summer shows.

Excellent time management skills
Experience of creating and managing a Marketing Strategy for theatrical
productions.
An ability to self-manage and self-motivate
A collaborative attitude and ability to work within a small, committed team with
people from a variety of walks of life
Experience of managing budgets
Flexibility, commitment and the ability to multi-task
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong proof-reading skills
Knowledge of key arts networks
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Strong IT skills in office-based software
Experience of reporting and project evaluation
Excellent interpersonal skills
At least 2 years experience within Marketing
A passion for the arts.
