CELESTIAL BODIES AND BEINGS
ASTROLOGY
What is astrology? It is astronomy that supposed to influence lives
and behavior of people. Its definition includes the term astronomy. Before
going into what astrology is all about, explaining what astronomy is will
let you understand astrology better.
So what is astronomy? It is the study of the night sky – the planets,
moons, stars, galaxies, and other celestial bodies. Incorporating the
effects of these celestial bodies to people, results to astrology.
There are numerous movements and activities happening outside of the
Earth. Their effects may or may not benefit us. These celestial bodies can
also amaze us in different ways.
Starting off with the different celestial bodies is the universe
itself. The universe is everything that exists, from the Earth beneath our
feet to the farthest stars and the other parts of the universe(1001 Facts
About Space). The universe contains a vast number of galaxies, which also
contains a number of different celestial bodies.

The Universe
Consists of a
huge number of
galaxies, but is
mostly composed
of empty spaces.
Speaking of galaxies, there are numerous galaxies in the universe.
Seen from the space, the Milky Way galaxy, which is where our planet is
located, is just one of the hundreds, or even thousands of galaxies that
exist. The Milky Way consists of many other space bodies such as the 9
planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and
Pluto, which was later declared to be a dwarf planet. The galaxy also
contains comets, asteroids, stars, and other celestial bodies.
Other than galaxies, there are many other celestial objects present in
space. Some of these are black holes, nebulae, neutron stars, galaxy
clusters, and supernovas.
A supernova is an interstellar explosion whereas a supergiant star has
exploded, leaving it bright for a week or even a month. After a supernova is
a nebula or nebulae(pl). A nebula is the remnants of a massive supernova
explosion. The most famous nebula is the Crab Nebula. According to NASA, the
Chinese astronomers noted it in the constellation of Taurus in the year 1054
AD.

Neutron stars are ancient remnants of
stars that have already died or have exploded
Telescope
and dispersed in the vast space. It is a
result of a supernova. Neutron stars have
(Space.com)
extremely strong gravitational pull. When
formed, they rotate on space. This rotation
speeds up when the particles compress and shrink(National Geographic).

Fascinating Fact:
One film of superclusters
makes up a vast structure
called the Great Wall,
which is the largest
structure in the
universe-over 700 million
light-years long, but
just 30 million thick.

Next in line is what is called the Black Hole. What is a black hole?
It is something that is so dense which has a strong gravitational pull
allowing it to suck in everything, including light. As it was stated in the
book 1001 Facts About Space, black holes are invisible, but are believed to
be surrounded by a spinning accretion disk of material being drawn to the
black hole.

EXTRATERRESTRIALS
Do you believe in aliens? Do aliens exist in your imagination?
Extraterrestrial is better known as aliens, others call them as strangers,
green horn, little green creature and others. But what do extraterrestrial
mean? Like other sciences or studies, extraterrestrial have three(3) of them
and these terms for some who is not aware of this topic might think this is
alien: Xenobiology, Exobiology or Astrobiology is the study of the life
forms outside Earth, specifically Xenobiology.
Xenobiology comes from the Greek word “xenos” which means “strangers,
guest”(en.wikitionary.org), while Exobiology(accdg. To Merriam-Webster) is
derived from the word “exo” which pertains as the external or out of Earth
branch of biology that deals with the search for extraterrestrial life and
the effects of extraterrestrial surroundings on Earth, last but not the
least is Astrobiology which comes from the root word “astro” which signifies
it is the study of stars, celestial objects or outer space, further it is
the branch of biology concerned with the study of life on earth and in
space(en.wikipedia.com).
Extraterrestrial life is life that may exist and originate outside the
planet Earth, the only place in the universe currently known by humans to
support life. Most scientists hold that if extraterrestrial life exists, its
evolution would have occurred independently in different places in the
universe. An alternative response to this suggests that life in the universe
could have stemmed from a smaller number of points of origin, and then
spread across the universe, from one planet to another planet by adapting to
its surrounding and environment.(http://www.sciencedaily.com)
Humanity has arrived at a
special but bittersweet moment.
For thousands of years, people
had looked up at the night sky
wondering whether they were alone
in these starry depths, whether
there was any place
like Earth out there, and how
they would ever know. In the next
20 years astronomers now have
evidence that there are more
planets than stars out there.
Milky Way Galaxy, is the galaxy that contains our Solar System, its
size is 100,000-120,000 light years (a unit of astronomical distance
equivalent to the distance that light travels in one year, which is
approximately 6 trillion miles for 1 light year) in diameter. Our dear Earth
is located 27,000 light years from the center of the galaxy. It is composed
of 100-400 billion stars and many planets too. In 1920 astronomers think
that astronomers thought that all of the stars in the universe were
contained inside of the Milky Way, but in later studies by Edwin Hubble he
said that Milky Way is just one of the billions or even trillion galaxies
around the universe, thus it is not impossible for life forms to develop or
adapt to other planets across our galaxy or even other galaxies.

What do us humans think how do
aliens look like? First of all,
almost everyone of us think that
they come from Mars, thus calling
them Marsians, and we think that
they look like small human-like
form with long arms and fingers,
color green or flesh all around its
body and is very thin and slender
in shape, has a very big round head and big eyes which are pure black in
color.
There are places here in Earth that shows that aliens exist or shows
alien activities and alien-made marvels. Area 51 is one of the most known
areas that give humans the idea that extraterrestrial bodies exist, because
this place is world known for hiding alien sightings like alien bodies that
are captured or retrieved from their space ships and other apparatuses that
aliens use. Another is the Stonehenge, which they believe that these raised
stones that are in a circle form is built for a reason, and that is reason
is it is used by alien spaceship or spacecraft as a landing pad.
