4 Specific requirements
4.1. Outdoor Enclosures
Outdoor enclosure manufactured with the integration of different assembled and watertight
pieces (structure, door-s, sides panels , rear panel , outdoor canopy, door retainer, document
support (pocket), and aluminium entry gland plate and additional plinth if necessary achieving
the IP55 protection degree level according to standard IEC60.529.
The structure will be made from profiled and laser-welded galvanised steel with a protection
coating of cathaphoresis and a primary coating of 100% of polyester powder , with vertical and
horizontal cut-outs with a pitch of 25 mm and doors made from folded and welded steel, 120o
opening, hinges with captive pin made from zamak and handle lock with 5-mm double-bar
insert.
The floor-standing enclosure external components must be from carbon steel protected against
corrosion according to ISO12944 type C4H (heavy duty technology) , that ensures the correct
level of corrosion and robustness to be compliant with 61.439-5 standard and will be IK 10
according to IEC62262 and resistance to shock load (sandbag15Kg) and shock impacts
induced by sharp edged objects including the mechanical test at -50ºC.
This enclosure will be certified according to IEC 61.969-3 according to Class 2 and will resist
weathering conditions like sun radiation up to 1120W/m2, relative humidity up to 95%, and
climatic test ( -45 ºC to + 80ºC, class 1 type ), and needs to resist winds up to 180Km/h .
To guarantee the continuity of the protection circuit, according to standard IEC62208, it is
necessary to install a protection conductor.
Suitable metal enclosures . Assembled enclosure with plain front door and with rear panel,
painted with epoxy-polyester resin, textured RAL 7035 grey, with or without galvanised-steel
mounting plate.
4.2. Ventilation and Cooling architectures
This enclosure will have based on four different ventilation architectures for helping and
adapting the best cooling system according to the application. The maximum dissipated
extraction per enclosure using ventilation system is 1,5kW with a medium delta T of 5ºCelsius.
In any case is strongly recommended to use an Outdoor Thermal Software to precise the real
conditions of installation.
S-LINE:
This architecture works in impulsion air mode . Bottom part of the enclosure ( sides or door)
minimum 1 fanbox and a grid IP55 installed. At the top opposite side of the enclosure minimum
1 or 2 IP55 grids. The whole ventilated system will must be IP55.
T-LINE:
This architecture works as in extraction air mode. At the bottom part of the enclosure (sides or
doors) minimum 1 IP55 grid installed. At the top will be installed an upper ventilation module
with minimum 1 fanbox integrated. The ventilation system hasn’t to occupy space used for
equipment installation. The whole ventilated system must be IP55.
I-LINE:
This thermal integrated architecture works as in extraction air mode. At the bottom part of the
enclosure will be installed a plinth with air entries. Internally, on the aluminium cable gland
plate will be placed a grid with filter G2 for filtering the entry air. At the top will be installed an
upper ventilation module with minimum 1 fanbox integrated. The ventilation system hasn’t to
occupy space used for equipment installation. The whole ventilated system must be IP55
Cooling architecture
For cases that is needed to extract more heat than 1500W and external temperature doesn’t
allows a correct dT to use ventilation the enclosure will be ready to accept a Cooling
architecture with cooling units (Ref NSYCCU ...HD) to extract upto 4kW or more . In any case
is strongly recommended to use an Outdoor Thermal Software to precise the real conditions of
installation.
IP protection
The enclosure will have an integrated canopy able to achieve the IP55 degree and able to
accessible to change or maintain ventilation if necessary.
4.3 Other functions
Locking system and protection for private areas:
The enclosure will provide 3 levels of security using a key1242E type and padlocking .
Condensation and hotspots prevention
For avoiding hotspots and condensation problems will be necessary to install a Hygrometer
(Ref NSYCCOHYT…VID) and a heater (NSYCCR…) according to the correcty thermal balance
calculated by an Outdoor Thermal Management Software like ProClima .
Lifting capacity load
For installation reasons the outdoor enclosure will have a capacity load up to 1000kg and
eyebolts for facilitating the lifting function correctly.
Installation needs
The enclosure will be ready to accept electronical equipment with possibility to mount 19"
upright according to IEC 60297-3-100 and EIA-310-E .
Aluminium cable gland plate
Outdoor enclosures will include an aluminium gland plate at the bottom of the enclosure that
ensures the right IP55 even if exists any thermal function (heating, ventilation or cooling) and
avoids any type of corrosion . Cables will be correctly installed by using cable-glands or any
other solution that ensures the IP55 whole system.
For avoiding any unattended closing due to the action of the wind, the outdoor enclosure will
include door retainer mounted .
For facilitating the maintenance tasks , outdoor enclosure needs to provide a document
information pocket .
External dimensions of the Outdoor Enclosure with canopy: 1681x600x630
Colour of enclosure: Ral 7035
4.4 Accessories to supply:
If necessary and considering the requirements of installations needs, a plinth should be
installed in order to facilitate cable management, and or entry of air
Manufacturer: Schneider Electric or similar
