Marketing Specialist – Brand and Communications

Purpose of Role
Marketing Specialist - Brand & Communications will primarily be responsible for the development and
management of marketing communications material and ensuring all material developed across the business is
in line with the brand guidelines reflecting the correct design, language and colour integrity. The role will also
involve developing and executing other marketing programs such as local area Marketing, Sponsorships, Industry
Partnerships, Events, Directories and Media planning. This role is a pivotal role within the Group Marketing Team
and has the objective of bringing the Coates Hire brand to life, positioning & representing the brand with target
customer segments to achieve objectives as outlined in the Group Marketing & Strategic Plan.
Key Performance Indicators

Effective responsibility for management & enforcement of brand guidelines and brand approval processes
for both internal & external customers.

Development & Management of marketing communications material

Managing material & execution of marketing communication media plan

Implementation of local area marketing program

Development & management of point of sale material and promotional items

Managing graphic design process & delivery

Managing print and online directories – design & bookings

Managing the print process including fulfilment with external party

Brand guideline custodian

Management of graphic design for Coates Hire across business units and
other functional departments

Policing of Coates Hire racing brand and other partner brands to ensure
brand guidelines of all partners and Coates hire is followed.

Accuracy of material according to guidelines

Policing of language and colour

Input to development of National Advertising and Media planning

Marketing Communication material development in conjunction with
Advertising Agency

Ensuring all material is developed in line with brand guidelines and
communication strategy

Effective management of material dispatch nationally

Time management of all material dispatch dates in line with promotional
period
Media planning, and development of material for local business units and
corporate marketing communications plan

Local area marketing content development

Media & budget planning
Support BU’s in execution of the local area marketing plans

National directory management – online & print

Ensuring annual yellow pages and white pages directories are secured for
directories in line with branch listing

Ensuring artwork is consistent across all books and align to brand strategy
Ensure online listings are correct

Event & sponsorship support

Activation and execution of sponsorship elements with event manager

Management and Development of event collateral and promotional supplies
for event season.

Any other duties, as required

