Newton Trasformatori SpA, already leading company in manufacture of distribution transformers, in the
recent years had the opportunity to expand its range of products , dedicated to design and manufacture
special components, proposing itself more and more as reference supplier for electric and electromagnetic
equipment.
Thanks to the experience arising from the provision of special components, made in recent years in
countries that are particularly demanding as those of Northern Europe, we are now able to offer high
quality products with an excellent quality/price , with a lead time very reduced.

Earth Transformers.
The former of neutral represent a special kind of transformer , specifically used to create the
neutral point , on the networks where the neutral point doesn’t exists.

Rectifier Transformers & Cyclo-converter Transformers
This particular kind of transformers is used to give power to static components and , which, for
this reason, they can be affected by harmonics which are different from the main one; increasing
the working temperature of transformer. In order to compensate the relevant increase of
temperature, and consequently the higher level of losses, the design has to be done increasing the
dimensions of the transformer, to allow a better cooling phase.

Power Reactors & Shunt Reactors
These reactive elements find place in many electrical application for special equipment like electric
furnaces , test bench etc. and also in the electric networks , where a compensation for capacitive
elements is needed; in this case Shunt Reactors are necessary.

Step regulating glass furnaces Transformers & Melting furnaces Transformers
These transformers are especially designed to supply electrical power to many kind of furnaces;
they are equipped by several secondary sockets to make adjustable the supplying of power to the
furnace. With these regulating transformers , it’s possible to adjust the step level of power under
voltage, but with no current flow, permitting to keep always "on" the medium voltage circuit
breaker, and avoiding a premature wear of the same.
We can manufacture also transformers to supply electrical power for medium frequency furnaces.

In supplying electrical power to furnaces , step-less regulating transformers, may be needed, as
below described.

Step-less regulating Transformers ( for glass melting furnaces or their use )
The step-less regulating transformers are suitable to regulate the output voltage rate with
continuity. They are executed with variable shielding , it means without any internal element of
contact, such as rollers, brushes or similar, with low thermic constant and with high wear.
It is possible to regulate any value of voltage of output , and whatever value of current.
Single-phase or three-phase version with common or separate adjusting for the output voltage
rate, can be supplied.

Input voltage till 36 kV
Output voltage ; any minimum or maximum value, in the range of 0 till 36 kV.
Maximum output current rate : till 5000 A
High voltage insulating test Transformers
Routinely used in laboratories for test to be performed on electrical items such as cables,
insulators, transformers, components etc..
Oil immersed version , with metal tank or with insulating tank , according required values of
voltage and power.
Secondary voltage till 750.000 Volt
Partial discharges free execution
Nominal available power till 5000 kVA
