An indirect object is a noun, pronoun, or word
group that sometimes appears in sentences
containing direct objects. IO’s tell to whom, to
what, for whom, or for what the action of the
verb is done.
If a sentence has an indirect object, it has a
direct object as well.
Subject Complements
*Write in your grammar section.*

words in the predicate that identifies or
describes the subject.
A subject complement is connected to the
subject by a linking verb.
Two types of subject complements are predicate
nominatives and predicate adjectives.

Predicate Nominatives
A predicate nominative is a word or group of
words in the predicate that identifies the
subject.

relationship:

minutes to find your “complement” or match.
Your complement will have something that
identifies your item. Once you’ve found your
complement, you need to create a sentence using
a linking verb, showing how the two items are
connected.
Ex. Items: Book and reward
Sentence: Reading is its own reward. OR
