Air Quality Needs
 We will want everything you can possibly
give us.
National Weather Service Huntsville
Air Quality Needs
 On a typical day, a NWS office is asked
about numerous weather and sky events.
 We are expected to be experts in many
areas – even if we aren’t.
 The better information we have and the
better training we get, the better we will
serve your community.
National Weather Service Huntsville
Why Local and not National?
 You can do both.
 All weather is local.

Parting Thoughts
 We cannot toss data to forecasters without
training.
– At best, the information will not be used
– At worst, the information will be misused
 We want to serve the public better then we
do today. In the area of air quality, we
cannot do it without your help.
