SWOT analysis performed on the product

What are the Strengths of the product (from consumer and
business points of view) – how will the product
please/perform? (How is the marketing effort to support
these strengths?)

What are the Weaknesses of the product (again, from
consumer and business points of view) – how does it NOT
fit expectations? (How is the marketing effort going to
overcome these?)

What Opportunities (for the business) exist if successful (in
terms of sales)?

What Threats (for the business) exist that could defeat the
product in the market, e.g. competition?
Refer to Unit 1 SWOT page 69

Include a graphic organizer

Describe each sector (S.W.O.T.) in a
paragraph. BTW this can be quite lengthy
as there is much to discuss.

Write a concluding statement
summarizing the KEY elements of your
analysis (what you think is most
important)
Perform SWOT analysis on your
product and include the analysis in
your Marketing Plan
