HOW INTELLECT AND STORNEXT WORK TOGETHER

support integrated security systems of any level of complexity, including the data collected
from systems like combination fire/security alarms, perimeter security, access control, video
surveillance, audio detection, and various industry-specific solutions. As video is archived
with Intellect software, Quantum’s StorNext® client takes over to allow for easy data access
and retrieval. Using network storage is easy—just specify the relevant network path when
creating an archive or select a network disk visible in the operating system.
Quantum’s StorNext software easily manages data with an intelligent, scalable, multi-tier
storage approach. Tiered storage provides a simple-to-manage foundation that can grow
under a single file system, designed specifically for video applications like Intellect. No matter
what tier of storage a file resides—whether it’s high-performance primary disk, high-capacity
secondary disk, file-based tape, or cloud—it appears as one single file system that’s as easy
as clicking on a document on a C: drive. Tiering moves less frequently used data to the most
cost-effective storage with best-in-class data integrity, allowing security professionals to
spend less on storage and more on other tools in their workflow.
