The management practices play a crucial and decisive role in respect with allowing the
employees to work together for the accomplishment of common goals and objectives. Emphasis
need to be more upon reaching the destined position just as to receive far better growth and
progression. There stays a great necessity to perform the business practices in a likely way. With
the help of management practices, the employees can be brought to work together and also to
make best possible use of available resources. Management practices guides and directs the
organization to move on a right and proper path.
The management practices of planning, leading, organizing, staffing and
controlling are being implemented at the workplace just as to derive far better results. All of
these five management functions are said to be worthwhile enough in realization of the set goals
and objectives. Planning as the initial process involves forming the mission, vision and
objectives and detailing the way through which they are attained. In organizing, internal structure
within the company is being set up. At this function, tasks can be segregated, coordinated and
controlled. Moreover, the tasks are being distributed by the managers to the jobholders or the
employees. In staffing, trained and proficient people are being employed that could meet the set
targets (Armstrong, 2012).
Hiring process is followed by training of the recruits. Moreover, proper payments should
also be made to the employees for their work. In leading section, the leadership guidance and
counseling is being provided to the employees so as to handle the tasks in an appropriate manner.
In addition to this, group dynamics and motivation are also used up for making employees
energetic towards performing things at their best. Lastly, controlling involves making
performance standards that are based on the firm's objectives. It is made possible by assessing
and describing real presentation and comparing the two. The comparison if made possible, would

offer the actual result. With this, it would become easy enough to arrive at a far better decision.
Controlling allows the company to get acknowledged with the aspects that are found to be
lacking in some of the other aspects.
The company named McDonald’s runs fast-food outlets all around the globe. At
the same time, the company duly applies management functions in terms with reaching at a predetermined position. At the outset, planning is considered and revolves around creating business
objectives, mission and vision statement. Business objectives of the company are to cater to the
needs of the customers and also to raise the sales potential. Mission statement of the company is
to value customer’s requirements by rendering them with quality food and valuable services.
Vision statement of the company is to stand still in the market for a long period and also to strive
for sustaining its position in the customer’s mindset (Champoux, 2010).
Another management function, organizing, is applied to the manner in which the internal
structuring is being organized appropriately. It is important for the management team and the
employees to understand importance of shouldering the responsibility as well. All best possible
efforts need to be employed as to receive far better growth and progression. Organizing results in
shoring up the company to allocate tasks and duties amongst the members. It would result in
attainment of the set tasks and that too at an effective mode. The company possesses a good
number of management people and employees that are being distributed into various levels.
Moreover, the coordination is being shown so as to manage the tasks successfully.
Staffing is the next management function. It involves hiring proper personnel that could
do justice with the job. McDonalds possesses a good number of workers that are highly
committed towards satisfying the customers by meeting their needs and desires. It gives due
attention towards retaining skilled and expertise human resources. Customer’s contentment

serves to be the sole motto for the organization and it cannot compromise with it at any cost.
Proper training is also offered to the employees so as to meet the requirements in a far better
manner. With this, it becomes quite effective and helpful from the part of the employees to
execute the tasks at an effective mode.
Customer’s needs are to be handled upon at an effective mode by offering the best
possible amenities to them. McDonalds Company offers Wi-Fi facility and hygienic environment
to the visitors. At the same time, customers are attended with full warmth and hospitality. Apart
from this emphasis in given upon collecting regular feedbacks, in order to hit the customer’s
approach accordingly. It is highly imperative to go for meeting customer’s requirements. On the
basis of feedbacks so assembled, better changes are also introduced that could turn out to be
highly approving and affirmative (Magalhães, 2004).
Staffing requirements should be fulfilled by recruiting the best possible
candidates. The aim is to go searching for better potential in candidates who would ensure that
things are running and going on as well. Training sessions are regularly organized by the
organization to make it easy for the employees to offer better performances. Hired employees
should show great dedication and devotion towards the task assigned to them. McDonald’s
image and status should be well-maintained as far as business practices are likely to be carried
out. The employees should also be provided with better compensation. It would ensure that
situations are under control and highly favorable. It is a must to see to it that payment modes
should be effectual enough in order to receive great outcomes. It is highly important to mark
better growth potential. Employee’s needs and requirements should not be avoided as it can
directly influence the company’s growth capacity. All this demands for having proper check
upon perks or salaries so offered to the employees.

Leading is also recognized to be an important management function. It basically covers
up leading and directing employees to attain the set objectives. The company possesses good
number of leaders that guides the workforce to move in a right direction. Leadership serves to be
an important concept that turns out to be helpful enough in carrying upon the tasks at an effective
mode. Motivational sessions and group dynamic awareness are also taken into account.
Motivation serves to be effectual enough from the perspective of managing things appropriately.
Group dynamics would lead to feel importance of working in a group and also to carry on
activities with team spirit (Morgan, 2009).
All of these together would help a lot in forming up the career objectives. Career growth
can also be experienced and it results in allowing the employees to feel associated with the job.
Leading should be performed in a well-versed manner just as to empower the company to mark
excellence and positive growth. It is a must to go for receiving better growth just as to check it
upon that things are moving on a proper track. This would also turn out to be great going in

At last, the controlling is used in terms with checking the productivity of the
whole process. It checks it upon that the management functions is applied in a good way or not.
McDonalds also gives due importance to controlling. Actually, it turns out to be helpful enough
in devising up the performance standards. This would help a lot in comparing the actual as well
as budgeted performance. At this point, the flaws or the weakness figured out in the processes or
business practices can be determined. In addition, it checks it upon that goals and objectives are
realized at its best.
Controlling assists a lot in gaining knowledge about weaknesses that are present
in the company’s functioning. It can be in terms with marketing, advertising, finance or sales

part. It is a must from the part of the organization to consider important aspects that could turn
out to be great-going and highly effectual. In controlling, corrective actions can also be adopted
that could result in improving up the affected part. All what is demanded is to go for
understanding importance of removing the weaknesses so as to help McDonalds to receive
unprecedented growth and development.

empowering the company to attain the set position. It demands for checking it upon that growth

the best possible efforts are made out possible just as to grow and flourish unremittingly.
Management functions so used up by the organization greatly supports in managing things
accordingly and effectively.
