Hello Junior Arrows,
The Junior camp this year is going to be held from the 11th-15th July at the YHA bunkhouse in
the Flinders Ranges. We will be aiming to leave at 8am on the Monday morning and return
6pm Friday night.
The camp is open to all Junior Arrow members aged 12-18 as well as any parents that wish
to attend.
During the camp we will be focusing on technical orienteering as well as gaining fitness for
the Australian Schools champs in September. We will also be spending time doing lots of fun
activities as a group. The junior camp is an important part of the Junior Arrows program and
is important in the development for junior Orienteers as they make friends, learn new skills
and become more confident with their orienteering.
Helpers on the camp will include: Bridget Anderson, Simon Uppill, Ben Cazzolato, Sandra
Afnan and 2 other possible parental helpers.
This year I am putting in the option for family members to attend as well and the option to
travel up with family members. The cost of the camp below with be different depending on
your needs. See below and tick the box that you require.
The camp will cost $260 for each athlete. This covers transport in the mini bus, food,
printing costs and accommodation. If you are a parent and wish to attend as well, the cost
will be $170 for food and accommodation if you are coming in your own car.
If you are travelling with a parent’s car the cost of the camp will be $210.
