The Opportunity Rodan & Fields seeks an exceptional marketer to take the lead in managing the product life cycle of new and existing product initiatives from ideation to in-market launch. The position encompasses a wide range of product and brand related leadership and support responsibilities including creation of strategic pipeline plans, concept development, competitive & market analysis, pricing analysis, forecasting, development of product promotional programs, and creation of collateral/launch support assets. This person will be responsible for leading the cross-functional team through the product launch process and lead the development and execution of the go-to-market marketing plans. This role supports the company’s core value proposition to position products for both their marketplace value as well as their competitive advantage, creating a source of income for the company’s independent sales representatives. Key Areas of Responsibility: Product Development Marketing (Design) o Lead development and product launch process implementation for new product introductions and initiatives o Lead and collaborate with cross-functional team to execute new initiatives through the product launch process o Lead development of concept and ideation for new product introductions o Lead artwork creation and execution o Prepare in-depth landscape market, competitive and brand analysis o Identify and monitor relevant business metrics in alignment with brand goals o Identify creative new opportunities to grow the brand and design and execute short and mid-term brand building plans, including promotions and communications strategies, in line with the objectives and value proposition of the company o Monitor product performance, offering recommendations for supporting the product portfolio as well as creating action and communications plans for product discontinuations/out-of-stock/over-stock situations. 1 Operational Go-to-Market Marketing (Delivery) o Develop and implement the Go-to-Market Launch Plan for new product introductions and initiatives o Develop, enhance and oversee all promotional programs and partnerships, collateral development, product training content, product communication material and other brandrelated programs o Partner with cross functional team to ensure execution of product promotions and initiatives via ecommerce, web, social media and other internal and external sources. o Work closely with the sales organization to create training materials, promotional materials and programs to support our Independent Sales Force. o Partner closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution of bill of materials, warehouse assembly and product logistics related to product promotions and other product marketing initiatives. o Direct cross-functional team communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and invested. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field A minimum of 5 years product marketing / brand marketing experience, with at least 3yr experience in the skincare industry. A strong understanding of the product life cycle and promotional process Solid analytical and critical thinking skills; proven expertise in problem solving and multi-project management A demonstrated passion for the industry, business, company, and/or brand. The ability to effectively partner and motivate across functions and with outside vendors. Excellent judgment as it relates to representing the Company to customers and consultants. A proven track record of working collaboratively and being accountable. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and a great attention to detail.
