CAF DIRECT INVESTMENT SERVICE CAF MANAGED PORTFOLIO SERVICE Our role and responsibilities As a charity, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) wants to ensure that charities and trustees have access to good quality financial services that can help them build their resources and support their mission. Therefore CAF’s wholly owned subsidiary company, CAF Financial Solutions Limited (CFSL), has arranged access to an investment service for charities, trustees and other not-for-profit organisations. CFSL works with a number of different fund management houses to provide funds and services that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the sector. There are two distinct services for investors to choose from, the CAF Direct Investment Service and the CAF Managed Portfolio Service. This document is designed to highlight the role that CFSL plays in delivering each of these to you. CAF Direct Investment Service If you have a clear understanding of your investment needs then you can create your own portfolio from any combination of the funds offered. You can access a range of multimanager funds that provide exposure to specific asset classes through this service, a passively managed UK equity fund and a range of ethically screened options. Plans to develop our service to further increase the choice available to you will continue in the future. CFSL does not offer investment advice and cannot provide opinions or recommendations as to the suitability of the fund or funds chosen by you. CFSL will however provide factual information to help your decision making. You can access further resources online, to provide you with a greater understanding of investments. Visit www.cafonline.org/investments CAF Managed Portfolio Service If you would prefer to select from a range of managed Investment profiles, each with a pre-blended combination of funds designed to meet set aims and risk tolerances, then the CAF Managed Portfolio Service may suit your needs. This service has been designed by CFSL and Octopus Investments to meet the specific needs of charities and trustees. CFSL does not provide investment advice or ongoing portfolio management. Octopus does not provide investment advice. They design and manage the Investment profiles, and can provide ongoing portfolio management to ensure any assets entrusted to them match the profile you select to best meet your organisation’s requirement. If you invest in the CAF Managed Portfolio Service your dedicated CFSL client relationship manager will work with Octopus to support you throughout the application process and provide you with ongoing support. Legal and regulatory information In addition to this explanation of our roles and responsibilities we suggest you read our detailed legal and regulatory notices, which can be found at www.cafonline.org/legal We recommend that you seek professional advice before making any investment decision. 1417E/1213 Issued by CAF Financial Solutions Limited (CFSL), 25 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4TA; company registration number 2771873 (England and Wales).
