Investment Management & Financial Analysis (formerly the Security Analysis & Portfolio Management
[program) delivers advanced knowledge about investment assessment, security analysis and portfolio

The MIMFA program is designed to prepare students for advanced security analysis and portfolio
management guided by a Code of Ethical Practices and Professional Conduct and uses as it foundation the
curriculum of the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) program. The CFA program is grounded in the
practice of the investment profession. According to the CFA Institute, the program of study for the CFA
charter is based on "a job analysis survey involving CFA charter holders around the world to determine
those elements of the body of investment knowledge and skills that are important to the professional
practice of investment management." The MIMFA program of study has a significant foundation in theory as
well as practical applications of the theory and tools provided.
Creighton's MIMFA program is designed around all three levels of the CFA exam and is taught exclusively
by faculty members with the CFA designation. In a field where the CFA credential is the gold standard, our
intense program is an invaluable asset for those looking to either advance their careers or transition into the
world of investments, security analysis or portfolio management. The curriculum covers a significant portion
of the topics of study for all three levels of the CFA exam. Creighton University is one of only 118

THE AVERAGE SALARY FOR A 2015 CREIGHTON MIMFA GRADUATE WAS $95,000 WITH A SALARY
RANGE OF $40,000 – $250,000.
