Use this opportunity to outline both course-related documentation and relevant work experience. Remember this is your opportunity to provide experiences/certifications/professional development activities that qualify you to teach these particular courses. Heather Walker has taught Biology at Southern Union State Community College since 2008 and Central Alabama Community College from 2008-2009. She has also taught science, including Anatomy and Physiology, for 4 years at the elementary and secondary level in a physical and online classroom. In addition, she completed the training and coursework to become a licensed Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate at University of Alabama-Birmingham. Coursework covered medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathology, and basic treatments of acute medical conditions. Experience included intubating patients, inserting IVs, debriding wounds, performing CPR and viewing surgeries. While her master’s degree is in education, she has completed more than the required coursework and documented experiences that qualify her to teach Biology at the post-secondary undergraduate level. In the tables below, the course descriptions for the graduate courses in Biology have been correlated to the course outcomes.
