• What is an indirect object?
Indirect Object
 indirect object: tells to whom or
for whom the verb’s action is done
Indirect objects are found only in
sentences that have direct
objects.
Indirect Object
Two possible sentence structures:
1. The indirect object appears before
the direct object.
2. The indirect object appears after
the direct object and is preceded by
the preposition “to” or “for.”
