General Responsibilities:
The Marketing and Sales Director will be responsible for executing the
company’s strategic marketing plans across multiple channels. Other key factors are
developing and managing marketing and sales plans and campaigns, communication
strategies and materials, advertising, public relations, website development, social
media and budgeting. Lead and support the marketing and sales teams. This position
will require a strong focus on demand generation and acquiring new customers to grow
market share.
Key Responsibilities:











Strategic and day-to-day management of the company’s marketing and sales effort
Develop and manage the marketing and sales budgets
Develop detailed project plans and provide oversight of project scope and
deliverables to insure deadlines are consistently met
Grow pipeline by creating, executing and leading the demand generation strategy
across every stage of the buyer’s journey with clear goals, objectives, strategies and
tactics.
Position the company as the leader that it is, through concise messaging and
positioning, distilled across all areas of the organization
Maintain competitive analysis and customer segment understanding to formulate and
execute product positioning, messaging, sales enablement and go-to-market strategy
Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and
interface with VP for lead tracking and management
Ensure sales and marketing alignment of priorities, adjusting as required by changing
market conditions, customer insights and/or emerging opportunities
Collaborate with the product development team to develop strategies on how to
effectively market and communicate products while maintaining the brand
Develop and execute marketing and brand-related communications which includes
advertising and promotions, product packaging, point of purchasing marketing, public
relations and new EC/media/CRM/DDM as well as associated budgets. Coordinates
all advertising.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Typically requires 7 years of progressive experience in marketing and sales which includes
marketing, brand strategy and execution, public relations, advertising, media and marketing
communications.










Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sales or equivalent.
Highly analytical and strong attention to detail
Ecommerce and Mobile device sales experience is preferred
Knowledge and skills in effectively managing marketing campaigns, product positioning,
budgeting and product packaging.
Demonstrates leadership ability to motivate and guide cross functional teams and
projects.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience working in a deadline oriented environment with high attention to detail and
quality.
Experience with profit and loss management and the ability to turn financial data into
sound business decisions.
Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel and
PowerPoint.
Domestic and international travel required.
