It was a lot of fun to see the students negotiating and problem-solving to get the right amounts of each product traded so that they could have an afternoon snack! Finish Those Math Sets! • Check out this month’s brainteaser. The first person to correctly answer it gets a really cool prize. Last month, there were no winners, so come on and test your wit! •The students in Mrs. Smith's Math classes are working hard on their math standards and multiplication sets. An important job they have taken on is filling out practice sheets for their math sets and taking timed tests on their letter. Everyone shares the same goal of trying to get to the last letter of the math sets, which is "W", by December. In December the students will have an opportunity to spend their "money" from their checkbooks. Most students have a sizable amount of money at this time, but will receive an additional $50 for completing their math sets in multiplication. They will also receive a party from Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Bangert if everyone can reach this goal. Keep up the hard work! Each month a new brain teaser or puzzle will be shown here.
