Caries is an infectious disease that can destroy your teeth if it is not cured properly. Caries starts by softening the hard dental tissue (enamel and cementum) and finally destroys the tooth. What is caries? Sugar helps caries develop. If you eat lots of sweets and cakes, some sugar may remain between your teeth. The sugar joins forces with the rest of food and the bacteria we all have in our mouths, and the caries attack begins. What is caries? The bacteria in our mouths feed on sugar and soft food, etc. They break down the food and produce acids, which directly attack the enamel on your teeth. To prevent caries from appearing, you must clean your teeth after every meal and not eat too many sweets.
