AP WORLD HISTORY (SECONDARY) SELECTIVE UNIT 5 (S05) (AP World History Test Preparation) (July 2015) Unit Statement: Selective unit five is designed to prepare the student with test taking skills necessary for the AP World History exam in May. It allows for time to be applied to mock exams along with an opportunity to master skills for multiple choice questions as well as historical essay writing. Essential Outcomes: 1. The Student Will participate in four mock exams. 2. TSW practice strategies for answering multiple choice questions. 3. TSW evaluate standard essays (student samples) provided by the AP College Board. 4. TSW develop skills necessary for historical essay writing. 5. TSW identify important concepts, events and/or people within the scope of the AP World History historical periods. (AP Course Outline: Historical Periods) 6. TSW practice historical thinking skills. Suggested Strategies and Assessment Tools: 1. There are a number of practice exams provided by the AP College Board.
