PART II
GRAMMAR: 60 points- LABEL THIS SHEET CLEARLY
1.
Now, for the grammar part. In your essay you will be required to find the following parts of speech. Identify the
following grammar parts of speech in the essay. Pull each sentence out and retype it showing the part of speech,
making sure you correctly number each sentence according to the list. You will be required to hand in the final list of
sentences in the order that they appear below- on a separate sheet, TYPED. Be sure to identify the part of speech
clearly ABOVE THE WORD OR WORDS. You will find that you will have many of the following already in your essay.
You may need to adjust your sentences to complete the parts of speech you are missing but you may not change the
essay so you lose the original meaning.
2.
Write your sentences on a separate sheet of paper. Be sure to show clearly the grammar that you are being asked to
identify. Remember clauses get [ ], phrases get ( ) and always identify the part of speech, or its function OVER the
sentence.
