Chapter 8 Outline Ancient Greece pp 224-255 Summary: Students will be exploring the peninsula of Greece where land and sea meet to form a rugged coastline. They will learn about the old sea cultures developed by the Minoans and the Mycenaean civilization, other Greek city-states, and the devastating but legendary forces of nature events. Students will get their first taste of democracy in the Athenian model as well as be introduced to other forms of government. Finally, they will explore the fascinating world of Greek mythology and other forms of literature. We will understand just how influential the government and achievements of this time have on us today! Stay tuned….Greece is so interesting that we will be there in Chapter 9 as well!
