The Rise of the Renaissance: You will read the section on Italian Renaissance in your
Renaissance Reading Packet (stop before reading the Art section). Be sure to use one or
more of your reading strategies. After reading, you need to answer the following
questions in complete sentences:

- Define the following terms and for each term give an example of how it
influenced the Renaissance Period:

- In diagram or paragraph form, compare and contrast the Italian city-states of
Florence, Rome, and Venice. Provide at least one unique characteristic for
