Test Correction Rubric AP Biology Complete test corrections on a separate sheet of lined paper and staple your corrections to the front of your test. Students who complete test corrections can get 50% credit back on each correction if they follow these guidelines. You will receive less credit back if you do not follow these guidelines. Five Steps for multiple-‐choice questions: 1. Write the number of the question that you got wrong. 2. Rewrite question that you answered incorrectly. 3. Write the letter of the correct answer. 4. Write out the correct answer. 5. Write out an expansion of your knowledge of the subject. Good Example 13. What subunits make up the protein macromolecule? C. Amino Acids Proteins are composed of any combination of 20 amino acids joined together by peptide bonds. The sequence of the amino acids is the primary order of the protein structure and ultimately determines the shape of the protein by interactions among the variable groups on each amino acid. Bad Examples 13. What subunits make up the protein macromolecule? C. Amino Acids I got the answer wrong because I guessed. I got the answer wrong because I thought proteins were made of nucleotides. For essay questions: 1. Write the number of the essay question. 2. Rewrite the essay question. 3. Write out the correct answer, or if you got partial credit, write out the part that you missed. 4. Write out an expansion of your knowledge of the subject. If questions are really long, you may summarize them with enough information that I know what the question is asking without having to look at the test.
