Manage design of two monthly trade publications including feature articles, columns and departments. Coordinate with production manager
to maintain customer ads and with editors to maintain article design quality. Hiring photographers and illustrators for special projects.
Additional design of customer ads, media kits, custom illustrations, enewsletters, logos and in-house marketing materials. Some

Design & Marketing Assistant – Eastern Michigan University Men’s Hockey Club [09.2011 – Present]
Volunteer position designing game flyers, posters, media guide and other promotional materials for team. Help coordinate photographers

Designed monthly publications and supplements in medical administrative field, energy resources and the metalworking industry.
Additional work on ads, brochures and flyers for metalworking clients.
Graphic Designer and Screen Printer – Eclipse Print (formerly TLC - The Lesley Company) [1991 – 1997]
Summer employment and seasonal as needed. Duties included screen printing shirts and other textiles, as well as coating, exposing and
reclaiming screens. Also developed art for customers, maintained inventory and organized office files. Additional freelance work through
Live Nation.

Assisted professor in 300-400 level silk screening class at Indiana University following graduation.

Hands-on design:
Daily use of Adobe CS5 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Distiller), Microsoft Word and Excel. Pre-press work including scanning,
color correcting, preflighting, font management and FTP uploading, all on Mac OSX platform. Basic knowledge of Dreamweaver creating
HTML promos. Past experience working in QuarkXPress, PageMaker, Freehand, Fontographer and hand-cutting rubylith film.
On the press:
Experience with six-color and four-color manual presses for textile printing. Coating, exposing and reclaiming silk screens. Registration of
multi-color jobs. Ordering and restocking shop inventory.
