 Solutions to trigonometric equations could be in degrees
or radians, and would probably include the use of
trigonometric graphs such as:
 2sinx = 0.2, 0o  x  360o
 sinx + 3 = 3.5, 0  x  2.
 Solve trigonometric
equations.
 Solutions to trigonometric equations such as:
3sin2x = 0.8, 0o  x  360o
sin(x – 90o) = 0.3, -180o  x  180o
2sinx + 3 = 2, 0  x  2.
 Students could be expected to solve trigonometric
equations in context.
 Solve multi-step
trigonometric
problems.
 Problems could include complex manipulations of
trigonometric equations.
 Students will be expected to solve problems in context,
including contexts that may be mathematical.
