Help Me Remember In this activity you will need to create a song, poem, or pneumonic device on an illustrated poster (like the one below) in order to help you and others remember some of the concepts we have learned this 9 weeks. Your display should be standard poster size, include your written pneumonic device, and an illustration. Here are some of the concepts you can use for this assignment. Choose One: The Six Kingdoms Characteristics of Living Organisms The 8 levels of Taxonomy (Must make up your own) The Steps to the Scientific Method - IN ORDER! Make sure your final product makes sense and that you would be able to share it with others! Truth Be Told The following questions have puzzled people for years and many have lead to misconceptions. Your job is to choose one of the questions below to research and set the truth straight! You can use any resource to answer the question. In your research be sure to complete the following: Minimum of 3 paragraphs State what your research is about. What question are you answering? Give a full explanation that answers the question in your own words Include a copy of where you found the research. It’s ok to have multiple sources. The more the better! Bacteria Wanted Poster Research Project Background Information: Students will research one bacterial pathogen and produce a "Wanted Poster." Student Requirements: Students select a pathogen from the list below or select one off the list. They will then produce a wanted poster with the given parameters. Proofread your dichotomous key then re-write it neatly or type it. 7. Have a partner try out your key before you turn it in. Move down the list and click on the link called “Monsters Inside Me.” 4. Choose and watch at least 10 of the parasite videos listed. 5. Pick one of those ten to do some extra research on. 6. (name of website, book, etc.) Edible Protist Many protist are found in our every day diets! Many cultures use protist to enhance nutritional value in their diets. After researching various types of protist, find a recipe that includes at least one protist as an ingredient. Using the recipe you found, make a class sample of your food to share. Be sure to turn in your recipe to the enrichment tray with your name on it. Scoring _________ 40 points for providing the recipe that shows a type of protist as one of the ingredients and putting your name on the top of the recipe.
