The following is a list of possible ways to complete your Earth Layers Project:
1. A POEM: discussing all 8 layers of the Earth in their correct order, a
description of each layer and interesting facts/information.
2. A SCIENTIFIC POSTER: Pretend you work for a company that designs posters
for Science Class. Create a poster that illustrates the Layers of the Earth. Make
sure to include all 8 layers in their correct order, a description of each layer and
interesting facts/information. Make sure the poster looks professional and full of
color.
3. A JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH NARRATIVE or COMIC STRIP:
Pretend that you are about to embark on a journey to the center of the earth.
Discuss in detail the type of clothing you will need to wear, the equipment to help
you dig your way to the center of the earth. The 8 layers you will go through in
their correct order, a brief description and important information/facts about
each layer. Remember to be as creative as you can, but make sure to base all of
your information on FACTS!! The narrative must be at least 2 pages typed,
double‐spaced using size 10‐12 font.
4. A BOOK COVER or MOVIE POSTER: Pretend that either a book or a movie is
being released based on the layers of the earth. Design a cover for this book or a
poster for the movie illustrating the 8 layers of the earth in their correct order, a
brief description about each layer and eye‐catching pictures promoting the book
or movie. Be creative!
5. A TOUR GUIDE PAMPHLET: Pretend you are giving tours through the layers of
the earth. Create a pamphlet explaining what people will see and experience on
your tour. Please include drawings of the Earth labeling the 8 layers in their
correct order and a brief description of each layer and include interesting facts.
Remember to include tour times and price of admission.
