[CR10] Students will analyze the following textual, visual, and data sources: creation stories in the Bible, Popul Vuh, and Mwindo Epic; Analysis will include identifying point of view, intended purpose, audience, and historical context of each source. [CR1b] & [CR8] Compare to rise of the Mayan civilization with other classical civilizations from the previous unit. [CR13] Analyze and trace the rise and spread of Islam and the Islamic empires. Note the religious and political developments from the time of Muhammad through the Crusades. Compare and Contrast the European and Muslim responses to the plague.
