Now that you have taken a rocket tour of living cells, you should be somewhat
aware of how similar a cell and it’s organelles could be to a town or city.
Your assignment is to:
1. Prepare a poster that shows how an animal cell and it’s organelles can be
compared to a city.
2. You will be presenting this to the class so prepare 1-3 minute oral report or
presentation on your cell city poster which includes the following:
a. Organelles names / Comparison to the city and a brief explanation as to why
you are making that comparison.
b. Poster – colored, labeled, and informative
c. Purpose of each organelle in the cell.
d. A list of the cell structures which are present in plant cells as well as animal
cells. (This can be placed on the back of your poster.)
