Trigonometric Equations Worksheet
Solve for all values of 𝜃, to the nearest degree, in the interval 0° ≤ 𝜃 < 360°.
Complete on a separate sheet of paper showing all work and sketches.
Start by solving each equation to get the function alone. Then follow the steps from your notes:
1. Find the reference angle (only use POSITIVE value)
2. Determine which quadrants the angle is in based on if it is positive or negative.
3. Draw out your quadrants and use that to help you find ALL angles that work for the equation
*In your calculator, check all answers to the original question!
1. 6(tan  + 2) = 6
2. 6sin  – 3 3 = 0
3. 5sec  + 4 = 3sec 
4. 3 cos θ = cos θ – 1
7. 3(sin θ – 1) = 0
5. -2 sin θ – 2 = 0
8. cot θ + 2 = 2 cot θ + 3
6. 3 cos θ + 5 = 0
