Pasteur performed experiments that proved that microbes cause fermentation. What is fermentation? Fermentation: A process of growing microorganisms (microbes) to produce various chemicals or pharmaceutical compounds. Fermentation of microbes is how most Biotechnology companies products such as enzymes and medicines.
