About Direct Marketing Association (DMA)
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is the world's largest marketing
association. Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, Target, American
Express, IBM, GE, Cisco, General Motors, and almost 50 percent of the Fortune 100 are
DMA members, as is a large contingent of mid-sized and entrepreneurial organizations.
DMA advocates on its members' behalf; creates many of the ground rules and guardrails
of marketing; inspires, informs, and educates marketers; and creates opportunities for
economic and personal growth for its members.
DMA is also the most powerful domestic marketing association in terms of government
affairs, leading the charge in privacy, remote taxation, postal, and many other issues.
Independent Sales Representative
The Direct Marketing Association is seeking a highly motivated independent
sales representative to sell in-house education and training to companies. The
individual will need to generate new leads, follow up on leads to key accounts
given to him/her, close new sales and maintain client relationships for repeat
sales.
A successful sales candidate is expected to have his/her own business contacts
and be able to network with individuals in any industry. We are looking for a B2B
account manager whose essential work duties will include:







Research marketing education and professional learning opportunities
within the Fortune 1000 companies.
Make appointments with potential and existing clients.
Present and discuss the product and/or the market.
Record and report a sales pipeline.
Writing and/or assisting in writing the proposal for the account.
Assist in designing highly customized in-company training projects for
clients.
Communicate with clients on an ongoing basis (with a view to renew the
services).
Job Requirements (key skills and abilities):
 Highly motivated, confident, energetic, and positive attitude.
 Strong communication and presentation skills, with outstanding
interpersonal abilities.
 Excellent client needs analysis skills.
 A self starter who is independent and results driven.





Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of marketing (direct marketing a plus).

Telecommuting is allowed.
Compensation:
You will start in a fully commission based role with bonus potential. No benefits
or base salary will be paid.
