MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY
Course Description:
This course provides an introduction to the basic structure of medical words, including prefixes, suffixes, roots, combining forms and the formation of
plurals. Emphasis is placed on the correct pronunciation, spelling and definition of medical terms, allowing the students to build a professional vocabulary
for working in the medical field.
Pre-requisites: Successful completion of Biology with a grade of C or better
Credits: 5; students who successfully complete this course are also eligible for Middle College Program credits
Course Length: Year (September to June)
