church dominated Medieval period and began
a new era of art and learning in Europe.
• Leonardo Da Vinci lived and worked during
this time.
What is a Renaissance Man?

He was an artist, an inventor, an
anatomist and much more.
He was curious about how the body
worked.
His painting celebrate human life, in
the last supper he paints Jesus and
the apostles as people having a
party.
His paintings are non-religious – (no
halo on Jesus) He looked to science
instead of what the Church said.
(Studying the body)
His art had perspective
(backgrounds and vanishing points)
He was an inventor (drafts for the
helicopter and the tank)
He looked to science to answer
questions about human anatomy.
