Mrs Beasley’s Challenge
Heroes
I enjoy reading,
writing and
speaking.
I enjoy working
with numbers and
being scientific.
I enjoy painting
and drawing.
There are many heroes in literature from Greek Gods to
cartoon characters. Read a story about your favourite
superhero, and then perhaps write your own one!
What sort of super powers would you like to have?
Why?
Why not write a story and then see if you could read it to children in
Reception or Nursery.
Can you create your own super hero and then paint or
draw him or her.
Try and be as imaginative as possible- super heroes don’t always have
to wear tights and have a cape!
I enjoy being
active and doing
hands-on
activities.
I enjoy making
and listening to
music.
I enjoy working by
myself.
Make a set of super hero top trumps cards.
Bring your cards into school and challenge a friend to a game.
See if you find any of the theme tunes that have been
composed to accompany super hero films.
Try and identify the instruments that have been used. Can you find
out the name of the composer?
What do you think makes someone a hero? Do you think
you know one?
Write down what you think are the important characteristics of a
hero.
I enjoy learning
about the world
around me.
Heroes are supposed to be very brave, can you find out
about a real life hero.
Find out as much as you can and then come and tell Mrs Beasley (but
don’t just print something straight off the internet!)
If you wish to complete more than one challenge you may. Please give in your challenge to Mrs Beasley
