Environment, SE v1.5.0_11 installation
For smooth operation of direct banking products of Komerční banka and for work with personal certificates, it is
necessary to have a program supporting Java language from Sun Microsystems installed on your computer.
This guide describes the particular steps of the installation, basic settings and control of correct installation.
The program is available for download free of charge on http://www.mojebanka.cz under the item Download,
section Applications, update files. The direct link for downloading the program is following:
http://www.mojebanka.cz/file/u/jre-1_5_0_11-windows-i586-p.exe.
Note: For installation in Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP operation systems, access with administrator rights
is essential. If you do not have the administrator rights, it is necessary that you contact your computer
specialist.
Before launching the program installation, deactivate the antivirus applications temporarily.
Experience shows that if some antivirus programs (e.g. NOD32, e-Trust) are active during the installation, the
installation of Java language support is not processed correctly, though no error message appears during the
installation process. For example, it comes through by absence of the item Sun Java Console (described in
point 8).

Run the installation file. Following screens will appear:

Select the type of installation – keep „Typical setup“. Continue by clicking the „Accept >“ button, which
means you agree with the license agreement.

After that you can see the installation process, which can run up to a few minutes (esp. on older
computers).

At the end of the installation, this screen will appear:

After clicking the „Finish“ button, a window with information about the need of restarting the computer
might appear (in some cases this window does not have to appear).
If this window display, then click „Yes“ to confirm the computer restart. (Note: the print screen is from an older
version of the program)

Start the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and select Tools/Internet options in the menu

On the displayed tabs click the tab Advanced. Verify if the possibility Use JRE 1.5.0. is signed under
the Java (Sun) item. If you see the item Microsoft VM (or Java VM) in this menu, tick off all the three options
under the item Microsoft VM (or Java VM). After that, confirm this setting by clicking OK..

Forbid automatic updates of the Java 2 Runtime Environment application. Clicking the Start button,
then choosing Settings / Control Panel / Java the Java Control Panel will run. Select the tab Update and then
tick off Check for Updates Automatically.
