GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs the installation, maintenance and inspection of electronic low voltage alarm systems. These systems
include, but are not limited to fire, security, access control, CCTV, and all integrated combinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs all aspects of installation and service processes.
2. Ensures company installation vehicle is clean and in good working order.

3. Maintain product inventory and procedures.
4. Maintain tool inventory.
5. Participate in company meetings and events as required.
6. Assist the Sales division with assembling sales proposals.
7. Help to maintain a positive work environment.
8. Maintain a Minnesota Power Limited Technician (PLT) license.
9. Stay abreast of industry standards and practices.
10. Stay abreast of code requirements, educate and enforce as necessary.
11. Comply with all safety rules.
12. Maintain a safe work environment and identify problems or improvements.
13. All other related duties as directed.

Education and Experience
Knowledge typically acquired through formal technical education in electronic or electrical disciplines. A
minimum of 1 year of hands-on installation of similar systems or 5 years working in a construction
environment.

Accountability: Accountable to the Security Installation Coordinator. Shall secure approval of the Security
Installation Coordinator when policies are not clear. Has full authority to carry out the responsibilities of this
position description.
Working Conditions – 25% of time in normal office conditions. Frequent interaction is made with customers
and fellow employees. Activities include working with computer and monitoring equipment, answering
telephones, and occasionally some light physical exertion. 75% of time involves out of the office local travel by
automobile. Light physical exertion while installing systems.
